“This doesn’t make sense”
“It just isn’t fair”
“Why is this happening to me?”

When we face a difficult or perplexing situation and confide in a friend, they might answer with the statement “God only knows.” That, of course, is not what we want to hear. We want them to give us a quick fix solution.

The truth is ………God does know! He sees the situation from a much broader perspective than we can. Remember to seek His guidance, and trust that He does care and has the answers.

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Since Jesus was the only one to live a sinless life, we understand that God knows we are not perfect. Even though we strive to do the right thing, we still miss the mark way too many times. God doesn’t intend for us to feel defeated in our daily walk, but wants us to reverently turn to Him for guidance.

If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?

But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.        Psalm 130: 3-4

The devil has been in the business of making false promises forever.

Today everyone seems to be searching for “something.”

Satan told Jesus that he could give anyone the world’s authority and splendor, and the only price was to worship Satan. Unfortunately, too many people today don’t realize the TRUE cost of that trade.

Jesus knew the long term price and answered “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only’.” Luke 4:8

At this Holy Christmas Season, may we all remember that Jesus is the true Giver of Peace .

A cooler day and the fall winds remind us that the seasons are changing.

It seems that EVERYTHING is changing, not only the seasons. Solomon tells us that God is in control even during the times of change, and in Ecclesiastes 3:11 he wrote: “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

We may be less than excited about the changes facing us today, and the explanation is in verse 12: “He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

Only God really knows what is going on, but we can face change by trusting in our Lord. Ecclesiastes 3:1: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Music has a way of changing our mood and spirit. We have been blessed lately to hear several great Christian artist share all types of music. Whether it is an old hymn with a new twist;  a praise song in Spanish; or a country song about our Lord, a spirit of joy comes from hearing Jesus presented and honored in song. It is our desire that the music of Moore About Him will bring joy to all who hear it.

 Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. Psalm 95:1-2

Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of his wonderful acts. Psalm 105:1-2
